The Langtang region is located on the south of Tibet or China and on the North from Kathmandu. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the North and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the South. Langtang Lirung (7246m)White Rhododendron dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5846m) lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) protects the east end of the valley.  Langtang is a first designated Himalayan National Park in Nepal.

If you are planning to go to trek in Langtang region, begins from Kathmandu to Syabru besi and it takes 6 to 7 hrs by our own hiring vehicle. One can go by local bus from Naya Bus Park. On this trekking trail are available trekkers’ lodges in every Kyanjin Gompastopping point that are neat and clean.  The way is perfect to trek up to Kyanjin Gompa. The last destination is Kyanjin Gompa where you can spend a more day to explore over there. The Langtang trekking takes your time 8 to 10 days. It has further options for more days trekking , you can do Ganjala Pass as well as Gosainkunda trekking. The Langtang region, the Himalayan views overall are not quite as spectacular as in the Annapurna or Mount Everest trek but they remain unforgettably beautiful. In addition, the trails are less crowded and the people are friendly.

Generally trekking season in Langtang is the same as in the rest of Nepal.
Springtime is rhododendron season and treks in April offer a dramatic display of red pink and white flowers.

Snow in the winter, or freak storm in the autumn, can close upper Langtang valley, Ganja La and the route through Gosainkunda.
